1. What we collect

For students: name, email address, phone number, city and ZIP code, anything you type into support chat, and the reviews you write. For instructors: the same contact details plus your instructor licence number and expiration, service areas, languages, rate, biography and availability.

2. Why we collect it

To create your account, to run the instructor search, to publish instructor listings, to verify instructor licences, to show reviews, and to answer support messages.

3. What is public

An instructor's listing is public: name, biography, licence number, service areas, languages, rate, experience, verification badge and review scores. Instructor phone numbers and email addresses are not published in the directory. Reviews are public and show the reviewer's display name. Student accounts are never published.

4. Card details

We collect a card only to take the deposit that reserves your appointment. The number, expiry and security code are encrypted inside your own browser before they are sent to us, and can only be decrypted by an authorised administrator who supplies a passphrase that is never written to our servers. The details are destroyed once the deposit has been processed, and automatically after a short retention period in any case. What remains afterwards is the card brand, the last four digits and the billing ZIP, kept so a charge or refund can be matched to your account.

We never see or hold the lesson balance — you pay that directly to your instructor.

5. What we do not collect

We do not collect learner permit numbers, dates of birth, driving records, bank account details or parent and guardian details.

6. Sharing

We do not sell personal information. We share it only where needed to run the service (for example our hosting and email providers) or where the law requires it.

7. Retention and deletion

We keep account data while your account is open. Ask us to delete your account and we will remove your personal details; reviews may be retained in anonymised form. Contact YOUR-CONTACT-EMAIL.

8. Security

Passwords are stored hashed. Sessions expire after seven days. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a unique password.

9. Children

Learner drivers are frequently minors. Decide and state your minimum account age, and check whether COPPA or your state equivalent applies before launch.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have rights to access, correct, delete or export your data, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell data. Contact YOUR-CONTACT-EMAIL to exercise any right.
